Attendance Tracking

Kidago records each attendance period as a visit with an arrival time and, once completed, a departure time.

Record attendance

Staff can check children in and out from a provisioned mobile device or from Visits in the web dashboard when their role permits it. During checkout, select an authorized guardian and follow your organization’s identity-verification procedure.

The dashboard summarizes active enrollments, current visits, and today’s check-ins. The Active app tab and Visits page show children currently in care.

Find visits

On Visits, search and filter by child, date, status, and review state. A visit shows the child, arrival and departure, duration, the selected guardians, and whether a device or staff user recorded it.

Manual and corrected records

Users with attendance-correction permission can:

  • Record a visit manually, including historical arrival and departure times
  • Correct an existing visit’s times
  • Confirm a record that needs review
  • Void an erroneous visit

Enter a clear reason whenever prompted. Corrections, backdated entries, and voids affect attendance, billing, and licensing records; restrict this permission to supervisors and retain supporting notes.

Offline attendance

The mobile app may queue an attendance action during a network interruption. It syncs when service returns. Check pending and failed actions before retrying so staff do not create a conflicting record. Reconcile any discrepancy on Visits.

Reports

Use Visit Attendance for visit-level detail and Attendance Summary for daily totals. Both support a date range and CSV or XLSX export. See Reports.
